Animation elaboration.

The star of my animation will be a little hamster by the name of Squeaks. Squeaks may seem like an average pet hamster, but little does his owner know that once he is alone, he becomes... SUPER SQUEAKS - the little hero of Pebble Street! Using nothing but his wit, courage, inexplicable knowledge and amazing sense of smell, Super Squeaks manages to fight crime and evil to help keep the citizens of Pebble Street safe! But sometimes his imagination can make things seem bigger than they appear!

Animation synopsis:

• Squeaks and owner (an 11 year old girl by the name of Lucy) are playing when Lucy has to leave with her parents to visit a relative. She places Squeaks back in his cage, says goodbye, then exits. Squeaks waits until he is positive Lucy and her family have left, then proceeds to his feeding bowl. He presses a secret button which moves his feeding bowl to the side, exposing a secret tunnel. He slides down..
• .. into his secret lair! There, he puts on his little superhero outfit, hops into his little superhero car and exits the secret lair from another secret exit. Squeaks patrols the street in his automobile. He then notices two children playing with a ball. It rolls onto the road. One of the children try to retrieve it, but seems unaware of the motorcycle - speeding towards the ball and child! Squeaks manages to get there before the motorcycle and push the ball off the street. As Squeaks drives off, we see that the "motorcycle" Squeaks imagined was actually in fact just another kid riding a bicycle.
• Squeaks then sees a little mouse being attacked by a ravenous dog! (But in fact, it's just a puppy innocently playing with a toy mouse). He speeds to the rescue and shoots at the dog with his Cheese Shooters! *PEW PEW PEW! SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!* The puppy runs away, and Squeaks - feeling victorious - again, continues to patrol the street.
• But while patrolling, Squeaks runs into his arch enemy - BUCKY! (Who is renowned for his enlarged front teeth) - The trouble making hamster of Pebble Street! They face off - each of them using their special superhero weapons like the Cheese Shooter, and the Bucky Blaster! But their duel is soon interrupted by WHISKERS - the evil villainous ferocious feline!
• Whiskers attempts to fight them, and, in the process, injures Bucky! Squeaks retrieves his Cheese Shooter and switches the level of impact to it's maximum capacity. He then shoots at Whiskers, and rescues Bucky from ultimate annihilation. Bucky regains his strength, and together they defeat the evil villain Whiskers! They then set aside their differences and become Squeaks and Bucky - The unstoppable crime-fighting super hamster duo of Pebble Street!

Story lines ideas.

I have a few ideas for my animation's story line. 3, actually. I had all of these epiphanies before I went to bed. So far I have:

• A girl and her various relationships with other guys (more of a serious.. dramatic.. type thing.. I think this would be my last choice.)
• A young girl's imagination taking her on an adventure (kinda like Alice In Wonderland).
• A secret animal society - what they do when we're not around. (Like the normal human society, but with animals).

Yeah. So I think I'm leaning more towards the animal story. I haven't done something with animals in it yet. I'd probably make the main character a dog.

Ideas so far.

I'm thinking about doing a retro-scope animation... Or maybe just doing something freehand. Freehand would probably be less time consuming, which is a good idea, considering I don't have a Mac or any of the necessary programs to make an animation on my computer. Hm...

First post.

It's definitely going to take me a while to get used to this. Tumblr's much easier to use. Also, I don't have a scanner at home so don't expect me to be blogging frequently.
